About Accommodation

About Meals

About Transportation fee

Round-trip Transportation fee will be paid at the time of graduation. Please purchase the ticket for the outbound trip at your own expense. The return trip can be arranged by Driving School on the day of graduation. Please note that the fare will be provided for the section specified by Driving School, so for example, if the covered area is from Shinjuku Station to Utsunomiya Station, the customer will be responsible for the fare to Shinjuku Station.
Is Transportation fee included in the price? Is there no self-pay?
Each Driving School has a designated transportation route for each region. Driving School will only cover Transportation fee for the designated transportation and route. In principle, guarantors are not required at our affiliated credit companies. However, minors will need parental consent to Reservation for a loan. Please note that depending on the results of the screening, you may be required to provide a guarantor.

What Requirements: What should I bring to Driving Camp?

[Meeting place] When you enter the school, do you meet up at the school itself?
Each Driving School has its own designated Meeting Place and time. From Meeting Place (mostly around train stations), you will travel to Driving School by school bus. For more details, please refer to the "Transportation Information" sent to you after Reservation. Or please contact Customer Center.
[Baggage delivery] Can I send my luggage for Driving Camp in advance via courier service? Will my luggage be sent to my accommodation or to the driving school?
When participating in Driving Camp, please send any luggage you bring to Driving School to Driving School. Please contact our center to let us know that you will be sending your package. When sending, please make sure to clearly state your name and have it delivered by the day before Starting date. Please check the "Directions" sent to you after Application for the address of Driving School and how to send your luggage. Please note that you will be responsible for the shipping fee. (Some driving Driving School offer free delivery service.) However, please be aware that if you include important documents required at the reception in your luggage, you may not be able to enter the school.
Terms and Regulations
[Cancellation, change] If I change Starting date or cancel Reservation, will there be a fee?
Fees may apply depending on the date of your request. For more details, please refer to the travel terms and conditions document. Please note that cancellations or changes to this Agreement will only be accepted during our Customer Center 's business hours. *This differs for Reservation before April 20, 2021.
[Extra fee] Will there be an additional charge if I exceed the minimum number of days?
If it is within the scope of the "guarantee" set by Driving School, there will be no additional charge. However, if the lesson is delayed due to customer reasons (lateness, illness, injury), the guarantee will not apply and additional charges will apply. Please note that the test fee of 1,700 yen for Learner’s Permit / Karimenkyo Written Test from the second time onwards is not Object by the guarantee.
[Cancellation during contract period] If I decide to drop out midway through the course, how much of Driving Camp expenses will I get refunded?
If you decide to drop out or transfer to another school after enrolling, the fee will be calculated according to the method determined by Driving School. Driving School will refund you the actual expenses incurred up to the day of the lesson, minus a cancellation fee. (However, depending on the progress of the lessons, we may not be able to refund or we may charge additional fees.) The actual costs include the enrolment fee, Driving lesson fee, Lessons for written test fee, textbooks, accommodation Meals, and other miscellaneous expenses. In addition, Transportation fee will be borne by the participant.
[Additional charges] Are there any other expenses I need to bring to Driving School besides the package fee for Driving Camp I pay in advance?
You will need to bring additional fees of 2,850 yen (excl. tax) to Driving School: 1,700 yen Learner’s Permit Written Test fee and 1,150 yen for Learner's Permit issuance fee. Additionally, some Driving School may incur additional fees. If you fail Learner’s Permit / Karimenkyo Written Test once, you will be charged an additional 1,700 yen as a test fee from the second time onwards. Please note that depending on the Departure point, you may be required to cover some Transportation fee. Fee for using Laundry to wash and dry your clothes during your stay (Accommodation details offer free use. For details, please see "Accommodation details" on each Driving School page) In the case of self-catering or no-Meals plans, the cost of ingredients and food (in the case of standard plans, the cost of three meals is included in the fee for Driving Camp) Pocket money for leisure, sightseeing, snacks, etc. However, there are convenience stores and banks near Driving School and Accommodation details, so you do not need to carry a lot of Cash.
General Worries
Is there a Driving School where you can have a free day during the Driving Camp?
Basically, Driving Camp plan is scheduled so that there is not a single free day from the time you enroll until you graduate. Also, there are Driving School that are closed on Sundays (School holidays) and therefore cannot provide lessons on Sundays, so please check when deciding on Driving School.
I have a graduation ceremony during my stay in the Driving Camp and want to go home. Is it possible?
As a general rule, you will not be able to Temporary return home, but if you contact us in advance we will introduce you to Driving School that allows you to Temporary return home. It is important that you contact us before Reservation. Also, please make sure to check whether there will be any accommodation costs during Temporary return home.
If the accommodation guarantee is exceeded, is it possible to stay at an internet cafe and continue taking the lessons?
With Driving Camp you cannot stay anywhere other than Accommodation details designated by Driving School. You must stay in Accommodation designated by Driving School only. Because there is no extended warranty, you cannot continue your lessons by looking for cheap accommodation or staying at the home of a friend or relative.
Will I be forced to go home if I get sick, such as a cold, fever, etc. while attending a Driving Camp?
First of all, please be careful to avoid injury and illness. Please inform Driving School staff of your symptoms immediately. Please note that if lessons are delayed due to illness or injury, an additional fee will be charged for the extended stay. In addition, if you have an infectious disease such as influenza, norovirus, or rotavirus, you will be asked to return Temporary return home and fully recover before returning to school. Either way, rest assured that Driving School and our center staff will provide you with full support! (Please bring your insurance card (a copy is acceptable) in case you need to visit a medical institution.)
I'm worried if I can keep up with the lessons. Are the training and lessons strict?
Especially in Driving lesson, there are many one-on-one lessons. Many instructors at Driving Camp camps speak in their own dialect, and some students do not realize it and take it as a scolding. On the other hand, if your attitude or behavior during lessons is poor, you may be severely reprimanded. Through their lessons, instructors not only teach safe driving techniques, but also a safe driving mindset, as well as dangerous driving maneuvers that can take lives, so instructors take their lessons seriously. Please be considerate of your students and accept that there will be strict guidance.
I'm planning to apply alone as a woman, but are there any other single participants?
Don't worry. There are many women who participate alone. There are many Driving Camp Driving School that only accept female Driving School and have complete security measures. Please contact us and we will introduce you to recommended Driving School that are friendly to women.
On the day of enrollment, transportation will be delayed or canceled. I don't think I can make it to Meeting Time, what should I do?
Please contact Customer Center. We will coordinate with Driving School and support you to enroll on the day of your visit.
What should I do if something goes wrong while I'm in the Driving Camp?
During the Regular Car License Driving Camp, you will be living away from the comfort of your home for about two weeks. Relationships with Driving Camp students and instructors, progress of lessons, etc. First, please consult with the staff and instructors at the driving school. If you have any questions that you find difficult to say to the staff at Driving School, please contact our Customer Center.
Is it guaranteed that I can graduate? I'm worried if I can follow the Driving Camp's
schedule.
Staying out overnight without permission, ignoring Curfew, drinking alcohol, using drugs, having trouble with the opposite sex, assaulting other students, etc. will all result in immediate expulsion. At first, everyone is worried about the lessons. In the case of Driving Camp, you can communicate with the teacher every day, and if you make good friends, they will give you advice. In addition, the instructors will teach you responsibly. And if you choose no additional fees until graduation, you can rest assured that there will be no additional charges even if you fail the test multiple times.
Is it possible to practice on the roads in a rural area where traffic is light and then be able to drive properly in a busy city?
The key to improving your driving skills is to simply drive long distances and get used to the car. During on-road lessons in rural areas at a Driving Camp Driving School, you can drive many times longer than during on-road lessons in congested city areas with heavy traffic congestion. Also, at Driving Camp you ride for several hours consecutively every day, so it is said that you improve faster than if you were Commute Driving School.

[Glossary] What is supplementary lessons?
If the instructor determines that you have not yet reached the level of ability to pass the test after the minimum time limit has been met, extended lessons will be required. The extra time will be considered supplementary lessons. If you fail the test, you will not be able to take the next test until you have had at least one hour of instruction on the reason for your failure. This instruction time will also be considered as supplementary instruction.
[Glossary] What is Learner’s Permit Driving Exam (shuken)?
This refers to Driving test that you take to obtain Learner's Permit. The training is broadly divided into two stages, the first and second, and each stage consists of Lessons for written test /written exam and Driving lesson / Driving test. Depending on the December calendar for each year, police stations that issue Temporary drivers license will be closed for the New Year holidays. Therefore, many Driving School will be closed for the New Year holidays, and you will have to go home initially. However, some Driving School continue to offer lessons during the New Year holidays. In particular, if your schedule does not include Temporary drivers license, you can stay here without any temporary lessons, and you can continue your lessons before and after.
