Matsumoto city has many cozy coffee shops that you'll want to stop by in between sightseeing.
You can also take the opportunity to stroll around and enjoy some food at Nawate-dori, a castle town-style pedestrian mall, or Nakamachi-dori, lined with black and white storehouses.
